Watch Before You Book
A 3-minute walkthrough for expats living in Thailand
A 3-minute walkthrough covering the questions expats actually ask us: how the 1-3 day fast-track works, how we compare to alternatives, and what happens if you leave Thailand in a few years.
About 3 on 6
What is the 3 on 6 Dental Implant System?
The 3 on 6 system is an innovative full-mouth restoration that uses 6 strategically placed dental implants to support 3 custom-designed bridges across the upper or lower arch. Designed with advanced digital technology, it closely replicates the look, feel, and function of natural teeth.
By dividing the arch into three sections, the 3 on 6 system distributes biting forces more evenly than a single full-arch bridge, reducing the risk of fracture and better preserving jawbone density over time, a critical advantage for long-term oral health.
It is the ideal choice for patients seeking a superior, long-lasting alternative to traditional dentures or All-on-4 implants, with greater stability, easier maintenance, and more natural aesthetics.

Optional Add-On
Nervous About Dental Treatment?
Nitrous Oxide Sedation Available
If you feel nervous about dental treatment, dental implant surgery, needles, or have had a negative dental experience in the past, you are not alone. Many patients experience dental anxiety, fear of the dentist, or dental phobia, especially when undergoing full mouth dental implants or other longer procedures.
At BFC Dental, we offer Nitrous Oxide Sedation (Laughing Gas) to help patients feel more relaxed and comfortable throughout treatment. Administered through a comfortable nasal mask, it works within minutes while allowing you to remain awake and responsive throughout the procedure.
* Nitrous Oxide sedation is an optional add-on at 10,000 THB per arch.

Honest Filter
Who BFC is built for And who we're not the right fit for
We’d rather lose your enquiry than have you arrive disappointed. Read this before sending your case.
You're a good fit if...
- You've been quoted ฿320K+ at a provincial Thai clinic or significantly more in your home country, and want a genuine premium alternative — not the absolute cheapest option.
- You value documentation, planning, and aftercare as much as the price you pay.
- You're prepared to commit 1–3 days for the first trip (or even a single day with proper planning beforehand) and a follow-up trip 4–6 months later.
- You're willing to send your panoramic X-ray or photos before booking flights so we can confirm suitability.
- You want a named surgeon, named brands, and the same dentist managing your case start to finish.
- Your medical history is reasonably stable (we treat medically-complex patients, but we plan more carefully — not less).
We may not be your best option if...
- Your priority is absolute cheapest price possible — Vietnam (Saigon/Hanoi) or some Bali clinics may be 15-25% cheaper than us.
- You want a single short trip with permanent teeth finished in a week. All-on-4 clinically requires healing time — it's a 4–6 month process from surgery to permanent prosthesis.
- You're combining surgery with an intense party or adventure holiday — recovery requires rest, soft food, and minimal physical exertion for the first week.
- You're looking for guaranteed promises of zero complications. No reputable clinic anywhere can guarantee that. We promise honest planning + protocol — not magic.
- You won't share your medical history, current X-rays, or dental photos before treatment — we can't assess suitability without these.
- You're not yet sure you want implants vs. dentures vs. partial restorations — talk to a generalist dentist first, then come back when you've decided All-on-4 is the path.
FAQ
The questions expats actually ask us.
Direct, no marketing-speak. If your question isn’t here, message us on WhatsApp.
Yes. The THB price you see is the same THB price our Thai patients pay. We don't have separate "expat pricing" or "tourist pricing" tiers. How to verify: ask us directly during your consultation — we'll show you our pricing structure. We operate in a city where you'll talk to other expat patients about us, so financial transparency is core to our reputation. Note: this doesn't mean we're the cheapest Thai clinic — provincial clinics with lower overhead can quote lower. We're a Bangkok specialist clinic with JCI accreditation and 100+ annual All-on-4 case volume. That has a price floor.
Honestly, yes — Vietnam (Saigon/Hanoi) is typically 15-25% cheaper than us for All-on-4. The price difference is real. The trade-offs are also real: (1) No JCI-accredited dental clinics in Vietnam. (2) Limited fluent English outside top-tier hospitals — a problem for surgical consent forms and recovery instructions. (3) Most Vietnamese clinics use Korean Osstem/Dentium implants rather than Swiss systems — your future dentist anywhere in the world may not be able to service them. (4) If you're back in Thailand and have a complication, Vietnam clinics can't help. Vietnam is reasonable for routine treatment. For full-mouth surgery you'll live with for 30 years, the trade-off isn't worth the savings for most expats — that's why we keep getting Vietnam-returnee patients.
For most patients, recovery proceeds as planned. If something does feel off, your coordinator is on WhatsApp/LINE — typical response within 2 business hours. Most concerns (mild swelling, food caught somewhere, gum tenderness) we can address remotely with photos and instructions. For urgent symptoms (significant swelling 5+ days post-op, fever, severe pain): we'll guide you to the nearest qualified medical facility in your area for immediate assessment while we coordinate your case remotely. You should also fly back to Bangkok within 24-48 hours for in-person review. Scheduled video check-ins happen at 1 week, 1 month, 3 months, 6 months, and 12 months regardless.
Often, yes. Provincial clinics with low full-arch case volume sometimes turn down complex cases (insufficient bone, prior implant failures, medically complex patients) that high-volume specialist clinics routinely handle. What we'd want to see: your most recent panoramic X-ray (or CBCT if available), your dental history, and any relevant medical conditions. Send these on WhatsApp — Dr. Jacky reviews personally and tells you honestly if BFC is or isn't the right place. If we can't help, we'll say so directly. We're not interested in starting cases we can't finish well.
All visa statuses welcome. We don't have Thai ID requirements — just a valid passport for identification. The treatment itself doesn't require any specific visa type. Practical consideration: our 1-3 day fast-track trip structure fits within all standard visa allowances, including the new 30-day visa-exemption window. DTV, retirement visa, work permit, tourist visa — all fine. If you're on a work permit, your treatment fits within standard short-leave windows.
Not a problem — our 1-3 day fast-track trip structure completes your treatment well within any standard visa window. Most expats finish their first trip in 1-3 days; some complete the entire surgery and same-day temporary bridge in a single day (with proper planning beforehand — CBCT sent via WhatsApp in advance, treatment plan pre-approved). The 30-day visa exemption gives you roughly 10× the time you actually need for the first trip. Your follow-up trip 4-6 months later is similarly short. Practical implication: the visa change has effectively zero impact on BFC patients given our compressed treatment timeline.
Yes — and here's why it's specifically a good move before you leave Thailand. Doing it now in Thailand at ฿500K (both arches, all-inclusive) vs. doing it later in your home country at AUD $40K+ / USD $40K+ / GBP £25K+ saves you significant money. The implants we use (Neodent, Nobel Biocare, Straumann) are serviced by qualified dentists in any developed country worldwide. Your Treatment Passport documents everything your future dentist needs. The implants themselves are lifetime warranty (manufacturer). The only consideration: you'll want to complete both trips before leaving Thailand — surgery + temporary bridge first trip, permanent prosthesis 4-6 months later. Plan accordingly.
Provincial expat-friendly clinics are excellent for routine dentistry — cleanings, fillings, single implants, crowns. Full-arch surgery is a different category for four reasons: (1) Volume: BFC does 100+ All-on-4 cases per year. Most provincial clinics do 5-15. Surgical volume matters for outcomes. (2) Accreditation: JCI accreditation is rare outside Bangkok hospitals — it's the international gold standard. (3) Specialist: Full-arch surgery requires a maxillofacial-trained implantologist, not a generalist dentist. (4) Implant brands: Provincial clinics often use mid-tier Korean implants rather than Swiss systems. We'd happily refer you to a trusted provincial colleague for routine work. For All-on-4, the volume + specialist + accreditation combination matters.
Better than you'd expect. Tropical climate has some advantages for healing — warm temperatures support circulation and tissue recovery. Humidity is generally fine if you have AC (universal in expat accommodations). The standard recovery protocol is the same anywhere: soft foods for 2 weeks, no smoking, no alcohol for 72 hours post-op, careful oral hygiene. What to avoid in tropical Thailand specifically: swimming/saltwater for the first 7-10 days (infection risk), beach activities first 2 weeks, intense sun exposure during recovery (dehydration). If you live in Phuket or an island, recovery in your air-conditioned home is actually quite comfortable compared to flying somewhere cold for surgery.
Almost certainly yes. We routinely treat patients into their 80s. Age alone is not a contraindication for All-on-4 — what matters is your medical condition, not your birthday. Standard pre-op assessment covers: cardiovascular status, diabetes management, blood pressure, any anticoagulant medications, bone density. For patients with controlled chronic conditions (diabetes, hypertension, heart conditions on stable medications), All-on-4 is safely performed with appropriate medical clearance. We require recent blood work and a physical clearance letter from your GP — your home-country GP is fine, we don't require a Thai GP visit. If your case has additional medical complexity, Dr. Jacky may consult with your GP directly before treatment.
Not required — but always welcome. Dr. Jacky and your coordinator both speak fluent English. All consent forms, post-op instructions, and aftercare protocols are in English. You'll have no issue understanding everything if English is your primary language. That said: many expats appreciate having their Thai partner present for moral support, second perspective, or to help with logistics (taxi instructions, food orders during recovery). Children are welcome in our waiting area. We're a family-medicine clinic that happens to specialize in implants — bringing family doesn't change anything about how we treat your case.
